Recent News and Information for Sand Man tugboat.

This year was very productive with the April week-long haul-out at Swantown to completely redo the hull. Also the two forward bunks in the foc'stle have been restored as has been the ladder from the scuttle hatch.  The scuttle hatch has beeen restored to original design as well.  A lantern locker has been installed on the outer aft bulkhead section of the galley also.  The chain locker forward is now finished too.

Sept. 7, Sand Man had a great trip to Port Townsend for the Wooden Boat festival. Dolphins were sighted on the way and there was excellent weather. The 10+ hour trip is a long one for the crew which must leave at 3:00 am for the trip north.
