Restoration Updates

What is the current status of the boat?

Basic restoration is complete. The boat is now moored at Percival Landing.

Tasks Underway:

1. The electrical system needs to be completed.

2. The foremast needs to be finished.

3. The windlass has been scraped and primered, the same needs to be done to the winch.

4.. Bunks need to be constructed and installed in the foc'sl.

Volunteers are still needed. (yes, unskilled people are encouraged to volunteer. learn while you work) and of course, the call is out for skilled carpenters, electricians and plumbers.

On a warm November morning, first the engine mount beams go below, followed by the newly fabricated fuel tanks.

Weighing about 450 lbs each, the tanks are lowered into the hull, then manhandled into position.

The second tank is lowered.

Pretty tight quarters, but eventually, the tanks are in place and ready for their fittings.

Various jobs are still underway at the dock as materials and labor become available. Just come on down!

Tools are onsite, but feel free to bring your own.
